Relaxed beach maternity session with a toddler | Kelly

Ever since photographing this dreamy sunset beach maternity session, I keep reliving the bright and beautiful moments… It’s like the enjoying a really great movie, and afterwards you just can’t seem to get it out of your head!

Kelly was glowing in every sense of the word! She chose a stunning dark purple dress that complimented her colouring perfectly, and hubby looked galant, yet comfy, in jeans and a white button-down shirt. And of course, soon-to-be-big-bro’s matching outfit was just the icing on the cake!

I always approach a session differently when you have a toddler. They get over all the fussing very quickly, so while one should exude calm and playfulness, it all needs to get done quickly and efficiently! Thankfully, these laid-back parents were magic to work with, and their first-born fell in effortlessly.

The beach was super busy and the Cape Town vibe was out in full swing, with everyone enjoying the divine weather and waiting for the sun to go down. As usual, Cape Town delivered stunning, golden views that no other can!

We captured so many lovely images that will always be cherished as such a special time in this family’s life. And all within 35 effortless minutes - the perfect, toddler-friendly maternity session!

I had a fabulous time with this delightful trio! Or should I say soon-to-be-quartet?!
