A reptile birthday party | Finn

Dreams are made of this birthday party…!

Supermom, Hayley, just happens to be the queen of kids parties. Her decor ideas are out of this world, not to mention her home-baked cake, which quite literally takes the cake! Apart from the photo-worthy setup, this family is just so wonderful to work with. Their love for each other is deep-rooted and genuine! Birthday boy Finn and big sis, Annabel, also share a very special bond.

Long-standing clients of my predecessor, Marysol Blomerus, the family made a point of documenting special family moments every year, starting with the moment that Annabel became a big sister. I am so pleased that I am able to keep the annual tradition going, by photographing Finn and Annabel’s birthday parties every year.

Last year, Finn turned six. As an avid animal lover, he requested a reptile themed party! Butterfly World Animal Sanctuary in Klapmuts, made for the perfect venue. With over 700 exotic animals in their care, such as spiders, snakes, monkeys, meerkats, scorpions, many species of birds and much more, it is a paradise for kids to explore!

Not only was I able to capture precious candid moments of the kids holding some fabulous critters, walking through the park, playing, chatting and generally just having a ball, we also made time for some really beautiful family portraits before the guests arrived. Having up-to-date, frame-worthy photos taken of you and your family is so important…!

There is no doubt in my mind that these stunning photos will be poured over time and time again, memories relived and revelled in, and one day shared with the next generation.

Happy sixth birthday, Finn!
